英文原文: Inorganic Composite Sorbent for Immobilisation of Heavy Metals in Soil/Sediment/Sludge and/or Removal of Heavy Metals and/or Phosphates from Water (05 SK SKBB 0DGF)| Slovakia| OFFER|20.12.2012 A Slovakian company has developed an inorganic composite sorbent for immobilisation of heavy metals in contaminated soil/sludge/sediment and/or for removal heavy metals and/or phosphates from contaminated water. The sorbent is produced from clear natural materials & has quite high efficiency, which has been verified by many tests in various European countries. The company was granted the Slovak Patent No. 283214 and the European Patent No. 1098851 B1. They seek partners for further cooperation. The sorbent can be used as the filtration bed material for removal of heavy metals and/or phosphates from contaminated water or as the soil amendment (1-5% w/w) for immobilisation of heavy metals in contaminated soil or as the stabilisation admixture (5% w/w) to contaminated sediments or sludge before their disposal. The term sorbent is used herein for any representative of the class of materials characterised by their ability to immobilise the cations of heavy metals and/or phosphates by absorption, adsorption or chemisorptions, or by any other mechanism. The sorbent is able to change pH in the system, to act as a buffer at the solid-contaminated liquid interface and to precipitate the cations of heavy metals in the bulk liquid. This is accompanied by formation of hydroxyls, hydrated oxides or hydroxides of individual heavy metals, resulting in a physical-chemical fixation of part of the precipitated metal cations on a rough surface of the porous sorbent. In 2003 the company was granted the Slovak Patent No. 283214 and the European Patent No. 1098851 B1. The Czech, Poland and Hungarian Patents are pending.
