A Dutch company has developed an orbital welding tool that can be used on location or in the metal workshop, that has an automated welding cycles and inspection function. The company is interested in meeting partners that could assist in the final development of this orbital welding product from prototype to production. The company is interested in meeting partners who are active in welding equipment manufacturing or specialized machine construction, or welding of inox steel piping products.
Details:
The orbital welding equipment consists of a specialized electric power source, backing gas cylinder, specialized welding software and a specially developed innovative welding clamp. This welding clamp automatically orbits the weld during the welding process.
Within the welding clamp a motion is being executed by a driving gear to orbit the weld during the welding process with a constant speed. The clamp also creates a protected, air free, environment by sealing of the weld using a backing gas.
The welding process is executed within the software algorithm to achieve a perfect automated orbital weld with the required full penetration. The process can be executed using a machine operator instead of a professional welder, thus saving cost. After the weld is completed, the process data is being stored in the machine or printed on paper for registration purposes.
