Summary:
A French SME specialized in signal processing, electronics and solar photovoltaic systems is offering an ecological wall solution to protect beach areas from shark attacks and enable people to safely swim and surf. The wall generates repulsive underwater acoustic waves and a dazzling optronic beam that done flee the sharks. It can cover continuously (24/7) a beach zone of 300m at the minimum. It is solar-powered and reliable. The SME is seeking Commercial agreements with Technical assistance.
Details:
To protect the touristic beach areas and enable the swimmers and surfers to safely practice their activities, a French SME has fully designed and developed an ecologic "electronic wall" immersed in seawater that continuously repulses sharks.
This "electronic wall" is composed of two main parts. The concrete poles (laying on the seabed every 40 meters) are all equipped with a double generator: one for generating acoustic waves (low frequency) and the other one for emitting an optronic beam of pulsed UV light which dazzles sharks and makes them flee. At the other end of each pole (floatting on the sea surface) is connected a solar PV buoy. The buoys contain the batteries and electronic devices for operating the system continuously (day/night).
For the device to function properly, a maintenance service is required once a month (check that no plastic bag nor net-fishing are covering the poles). The system is autonomous, sustainable, green and simple.
The "electronic wall" height is around 10m and its length can be extended depending on the configuration of sites. It is placed in the cove between the two coasts to obtain a protected beach of 300m width, 400m, 500m etc... As soon as the "electronic wall" is operational, sharks can no longer access to the protected beach zone.
